My Writing Process

Over the course of this semester I have changed my entire process of how I write. The most difficult process I have gone through was my Inquiry Project. I originally thought I knew exactly what I was going to write about, but once I got into my research aspect I figured out I did not agree with a word any of these child psychologists were saying on my topic. Of course I had to be difficult and write my own opinions and theories because I was not about to just say I agreed when I honestly did not. This was a very interesting experience in a whole. Even though I may have come across many difficulties I have learned to overcome them, whether it be writers block, or my entire project getting deleted and having to start over. Now that’s another story in its own. My process has ended up being a very long and tedious one with how specific and detail oriented I have become. As you will see in this project I have tried not to leave any little piece of background information out. All the research that was done for my final copy was strictly from each movie. You will see on my research portion for my first copy how ridiculous these so called “professionals” sound. Now without further ado here is my tedious writing process.

Step 1.

Thinking of a topic

When looking for a good inquiry question I had to keep these these aspects in mind to be able to really make people think.

My Choice

I came to the conclusion that i wanted to do something with Disney princesses since they where such a huge aspect in my childhood. Then i decided why not do how they effect a childs way of life?

Step 2.

My Research

If you click the picture you will see all the sites I visited and little bits about them in my "Iquiry Research" blog post. This is when I decided that all these so called "Experts" were insane and I did not agree with a word they said.

Then I changed my mind...

So all that work I did no longer mattered and I had to start with somthing totally new.

When I looked into online sources, there was nothing on the topic how I personally thought of it. So I was on my own and the only research I had was watching the movies and my own opinions. I had to come up with how i was going to explain my theory and group them together and what to call them.

Step 3.

The rough Draft

Step 4.

Peer Responses

My peer response experience was a very posotive one. Every bit of information I received from my class mates did nothing but help me.

Step 5.

Graded Piece

Click the picture for the Word document of my turned in draft. This is the longest paper I have ever writen, topping off at total of 14,438 words and 42 pages. I slaved away for my whole easter break trying to get this as perfect as a could getting my entire point across. Click here to see what my professor had to say.

Step 6.

Final Touches.

Now if you click on the image you will be able to see my paper after all the changes I had to make in a word document. This was the longest and most tedious project I have ever done, but honestly it was worth it. It has helped me learn that just because you do not agree with everyone doesnt mean your wrong! Just prove your point. Now if you're interested in my digitalized version Click here and it will take you to my "My Inquiry" tab.
